RHS Garden Wisley
This garden currently under construction on the Witan Street site at Wisley is intended to show what can be achieved in a typical modern plot measuring 9 x 6 metres. The design features a raised seating area and a circular basin from which water flows along a narrow channel to a square pool. Planting includes flowering almond, pomegranate, myrtle and aromatic herbs. The garden will be completed in Spring 2007.
RHS Garden Rosemoor
A current commision is to redesign The Square Garden, one of the themed areas within the formal gardens at Rosemoor, North Devon. The purpose of this garden is to display plants in the “hot” colour range - red, orange and yellow flowers and plants with golden or purple foliage. My proposal is for a central meadow planting of perennials and grasses dominated by yellow and orange daisy flowers to evoke a field of buttercups. Surrounding borders will contain a wider variety of shrubs and plants with contrasting forms as well as more varied colour within the “hot” palette.
Construction and planting is to take place over autumn and winter 2007 and the garden will be opened to the public in Spring 2008.
